PRODUCTION

In this phase of the filmmaking process the team uses the script and production plan (production notebook) to create the story world and record the scenes of the film. An introduction to production and a thorough investigation of the process are useful but they are still no replacement for being on set or on location and experiencing film production first hand, especially firsthand on a Black Feminist (Film School) set. In each production course we make films. Production is prime time for filmmaking as spiritual practice because this is where our collective and lifelong preparation yields to surrender, to spirit.
